Blues Legend to Play at Ozark Folk Center



Mountain View, AR – Friday, September 28 the Ozark Folk Center State Park hosts 2x Grammy Award-winning blues musician Taj Mahal. The performance, which is part of the park’s Celebrity Concert Series, is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in the Ozark Folk Center’s 1,000-seat music theater-  Recently voted “Venue of the Year” at the 2018 Arkansas CMA Awards.  The performance will be recorded for the fourth season of the Ozark Highlands Radio, a publically syndicated radio program produced at the park which is carried by a growing list of affiliates across the country.

About the Artist: Blues legend Taj Mahal has been stretching the boundaries of blues music over the course of five decades, fusing elements of African and Caribbean rhythms into his unique style of American roots blues. Last year, he was awarded “Album of the Year” and “Best Contemporary Blues Album,” alongside recording artist Keb Mo, for their collaborative album entitled “Taj Mo.” Taj Mahal continues to tour across the U.S. and produce great music for fans after being inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame nearly 10 years ago.
