Stone County Library

Bessie Boehm Moore, Stone County Library was built in 1992 with funds from a challenge gift from Dr. Bessie Moore, who had lived here as a young girl and wanted to give back to the community. The challenge was met with local funding and a Federal Library Services grant.

The library houses over 20,000 materials and has public access computers and internet. Other services include a Summer Reading Program for children, Preschool Story Time, and Visual Handicapped Center. The library is currently open Tuesday – Friday, and Saturday until 1:00 pm.
